The Lord’s faithful servant, Mary Stoddart Miller, age 91, of Lancaster was ushered into the glory of heaven on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Mary was born August 17, 1930 in Worthington, Ohio, to the late John and Lucia Stoddart.
Mary graduated from The Ohio State University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She and dad married while he was in the Army and following that, they moved back to Lancaster where they raised their family. She was a devoted, fun-loving mother with unwavering love for her family. Mary leaves behind a rich legacy in both her family and countless others she has blessed. She had a long and deep relationship with her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was passionate about bringing people to Christ, and continued to be generous, creative, wise, selfless, forgiving and compassionate throughout her amazing life.
Mary is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-eight years, David Keller Miller. She is also survived by her children, David Keller (Christine) Miller, Jr., Cynthia (Jeffrey) Stai, Daniel (Rose) Miller, and Jennifer Lee Miller. Her grandchildren, Olivia (Todd) Rowley, Nathan Phillips, David Keller (Elizabeth) Miller III, Julia (Michael) Brunelle, Catherine (Michael) Edwards, Andrew Miller, Alexander (Allie) Miller, Jacob Leitnaker, Sarah (Ryan) Eversole and Rachael Leitnaker also survive her. Great Grandchildren Atticus Miller, Lincoln Miller, Lennox Miller, Ava Rowley, Alyce Miller and Solomon Keller Miller survive her as well. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanne Barends, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucia Lee, Jane Keene, Betty Howe, and Carolyn Armstrong.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staffs at Buckeye Care & Rehabilitation, Fairhope Hospice & Palliative Care, and Bickford of Lancaster for their compassionate care. The family also kindly asks that memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to Fairfield Christian Church, Fairhope Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 20th, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mark Barbee officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the beginning of the service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
