Leon DeVale Golden, 81 of Pleasantville passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the Pickering House. Leon was born in Coolville, Ohio on June 12, 1942 to the late Ralph and Lydia Golden. He retired from George’s Repair Service in Pleasantville and had served in the United States Army. Leon was a member of the Ross George Post 9 American Legion. He and his son Tim spent time together racing at National Trail Raceway. Leon loved tinkering and working on projects in his spare time. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Leon is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rose Golden; children, Penny (Daniel) Marquart and Timothy (Kelli) Golden; grandchildren, Mandie Marquart and Chase (Alicia) Golden; great-granddaughter, Aleighlyn Golden; brother, Charles Golden; special cousins, Norma Jean Stillwell and Patty Byer; special friends, Phil and Brenda George and Jennifer Moore; along with many other loving friends and family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Delbert Golden and Frank Golden.
The family would like to thank FairHope Hospice for their loving care of Leon.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME at 5PM. A Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 3PM-5PM. Dignity Cremation is to take place following the services.
