Judith Ann Miller passed away on December 17, 2024, in Lancaster, OH, at the age of 79 after a courageous 15-month fight with Ovarian Cancer. Born on May 31, 1945, Judith’s life was marked by her devotion to family, her faith, and her community.
Judith served as the Director of Transportation for Fostoria City Schools; greatly affecting the lives of many
students and staff.
Judith’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She actively participated in church activities. Her personal interests included RVing, quilting and reading - hobbies that brought her great joy.
Judith is survived by her husband, Ronald Miller; daughter Deborah (Tim) Hunckler; son Dennis Vitt; step-children Chris (Jennifer) Miller, Michelle (Al) Heckman, and Jeff (Bev) Miller; sister-in-law Aniela Eaden; brother-in-law Warren Goldsworthy; numerous nieces and nephews; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Estelle Eaden; brother Robert Eaden; sister Dorothy Goldsworthy, step-brother Roger Sherrill; step-sister Pam (Steve) Hopkins; step-daughter Gail Miller; several nieces and a nephew.
A memorial service will take place in January 2025 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg, Ohio, where friends and family will gather to honor her life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judith’s memory can be made to Wounded Warriors, a cause she deeply cared about. This gesture will continue her legacy of kindness and support of those who have served.
