Harold M. Phillips, Beloved Husband, Father, Grand Father, and Great Grand Father, passed away on June 1st 2024, at the age of 86. Born August 30, 1937 in Logan, Ohio, to Stanley Harold Phillips and Myrtle Maud (Phelps) Phillips. On January 1, 1960, he married Mary Thompson in Logan Ohio. Together they raised two children, Connie and Cheryl. Harold was known as someone who was often soft spoken and always happy to help others without any hesitation. He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter, Connie (William) Cook; granddaughters, Bethany (Charlotte) Lawson and Kelly (Jacob) Keister; grandson Jacob (Olivia) Cook; and great grandchildren Elliott Lawson, Vaughn Cook, and Trevor Lawson. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Sisters Reva Smith, and Eileen Widger; and his daughter Cheryl (John) Marsh. Harold was always proud about his three grandchildren and passionate about his involvement in Free Masonry for over 64 years. He was a member of both Lancaster, Ohio Masonic Lodge #57 and Pleasant Valley, Ohio Masonic Lodge #531. Harold also belonged to York Rite and was active in the Knights Templar, a Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Master Mason, and a Shriner with the Columbus Aladdin Shrine Temple. Harold served in the US Army in 1958 while stationed in Germany. He was also a member Funeral Honor Guard with the American Legion.
Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Friday June 7, 2024 at Halteman-Felt & Dyer Funeral Home. Masonic Services will be held at 12:30 PM. Viewing will be 11AM to1 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Lancaster Veterans Funeral Honor Guard.
