George A Patrick

George Albert Patrick passed away on March 4, 2022, while surrounded by his family at the V.A. (Hospice) Hospital in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born on May 13, 1939 to parents, Newt and Eva (Brown) Patrick in Willard, Ohio. During his lifetime, George worked at many different places while also farming. His last profession was with the MRDD (Mental Retardation Developmental Disabilities) program as the Supervisor of all of the buildings. He and his wife, Penny, met while they worked together at MRDD and have been married 34 years. George suffered with PLS for the last 6 years and although his life was altered dramatically, he never complained. He also never had a bad word to say about anyone. George would gladly help others that needed any assistance. George had a great love for his family and that included his step children and grandchildren. They too, loved him as if they were connected as blood relatives.

George is survived by his wife, Penny; son, Blake Patrick; daughters, Michelle Patrick Correll and Georgena Patrick; step daughters, Stephanie (Mike) Shahan and Allison (Dr. Charles) Cook; granddaughters, Ayla and Bria Correll and Summer Bush; great granddaughter, Aurora Bush; step grandchildren, Nic (Brandy) Shahan, Charles (Remy) Cook and Evan Cook, Katelyn and Ellie Clark; step great grandchildren, Bentley and Bayliee Shahan; niece, Gayle Gircsis; and nephews, Wes (Robin) Sexton and Randall Sexton.

George was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Hazel Seagren, Mary Miller and Bea Burkhart; step daughter, Jennifer Clark; and step son, Gregory Blum; step granddaughter, Nicole Shahan; and nieces, Carol Kintz and Janet Sexton.

A Celebration of his life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday April 10, 2022 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with calling hours from 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home.
