Ernest James Thompson, Sr. of Lancaster, Ohio passed away peacefully at home Friday, December 2, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, pap, and great grandpap and will be greatly missed by all. Ernie was a Stationary Steam Engineer Boiler Operator and retired from Lucent Technologies of Columbus Ohio. He was preceded in death by parents, John and Ruby Thompson and sister, Iris Faye Sneed. Ernie is survived by loving wife, Evelyn Thompson, sons, Ernie “Red” (Lisa) Thompson, Eric (Karen) Thompson, daughters, Donna (Randy) Watts, Brenda (Mike) Kraft, Greta (Barry) Axe, 13 grandkids and 3 great grandkids which he loved and enjoyed spending time with, and brother, Russell (Lois) Thompson. Visitation will be 11-1 Wednesday, December 7, 2022 with services immediately after at First Baptist Church of Carroll, 51 Park Street, Carroll, Ohio. Interment will be at Carroll Cemetery. Dad will be greatly missed by all until we are together again in Heaven. We love you, Dad/Pap
