Elizabeth "Libby" Shaffer

Elizabeth “Libby” A. Shaffer, 83 of Lancaster passed away on Saturday, March 12th, 2022 at the Fairfield Medical Center. Libby was born on July 24th, 1938 in Wilmington, Ohio to the late Louis and Florence Bisher. She loved flowers, cruises and most of all, her family. Libby was also involved in the Lancaster High School Band Boosters, an avid bowler and a sports mom, grandma and great-grandma.

Libby is survived by her loving husband, Don Shaffer; children, Jeff (Cindy) Shaffer, Darren (Debbie) Shaffer, Dwayne (Kelly) Shaffer, Tim (Beverly) Shaffer, Kim (Matt) Sorg, Tom (Cindy) Shaffer, and Tonya (Robert) Ortman; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Carpenter, Linda Spaulding, and Sharon Cordrey; sister-in-law, Phyllis Bisher; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eddie Bisher; and her father and mother in law, Maurice and Lucy Shaffer.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 18th, 2022 at 11AM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Burial is to follow at West Rushville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4PM-7PM at the funeral home. As well as ONE HOUR PRIOR to the services on Friday.
