Barbara Barb Ellen Knox Van Fossen

Barbara E. Van Fossen, age 83 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center. Barb was born January 9, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio, graduated from Columbus West High School in 1946 and attended O.S.U.. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster and the Parthenian Chapter #124 Order of Easter Star, Baltimore.

Survived by: her daughter Kay (Bret) Ruff, sons Jesse and Ty Van Fossen, grandchildren: Brad and Jeremy Ruff, Joshua and Jessica Van Fossen, Nicole Van Fossen, Brooke Radosevic, Erik, Chelsea, Dylan and Rawley Van Fossen, Great Grandsons: Brody Ruff and Tanner Van Fossen, a brother Jack Knox, sisters-in-law Betty Knox, Virginia Pro Rock, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by late Jesse A. Van Fossen, a son Ron Van Fossen, parents Evan and Blanche Knox, step-father, Theodore Snelling and brother Evan Knox Jr..

A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday, December 12, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church Lancaster with Rev. Matthew L. Richardson officiating. Interment will be at West Rushville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests contributions to the First Presbyterian Church, 222 N. Broad St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 in Barb’s memory.
