It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sandy Katherine Miller.
September 22, 2020 Sandy went to be with the Lord while in her Leona Valley, California home with her family by her side.
Sandy was born January 28, 1943 in Chicago Heights, Illinois.
Most of her youth was spent in Iowa; Iowa was always home in her heart.
In her teenage years her family moved to Long Beach, California where she later met her husband of 57 years Keith J. Miller, also known to most as K.J.
Sandy is survived by K.J. Her lifelong love and travel companion.
They enjoyed many years together and as you know a very active family. Dedicated to their two sons Mike Allen Miller and Mark Anthony Miller, the loves of their life.
Mike the oldest son was the first of her boys to make Sandy the Grandmother of twin girls Samantha Joan and McKenzie Katherine. Tyson Allen came next followed by Jacqueline Coleene. These kids made Sandy light up and put a smile on her face every single day
Mark Anthony Miller, her younger son and his wife Linnea added to the Miller family to follow. With three more grandchildren for Sandy to immerse herself in. Sage Marie, Jaxson James and Wyatt William.
Being a grandmother was truly the joy and light of her life.
Sandy was joyfully greeted at the gates of Heaven by Mark and Linnea’s son Christian John as well as her mother and brother.
Sandy is also survived by her sister Becky Starr and her nephew Chris Jaymes.
Sandy was a friend to thousands and loved by all.
There was never a dull or quiet moment in her life. She loved adventure.
She loved participating in the things that mattered, to name few
She was a part of
• The Los Angeles County Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary
• An Associate member of the Elk’s
• Treasurer of the Leona Valley Sertoma Club
• Member of The High Dessert Cruisers
• On the Antelope Valley Fair Committee for over 25 years
Sandy was an antique lover and an avid collector of Hallmark. Ask any one of her Grandchildren.... Sandy Miller would not stop till their set was complete.
She loved sharing new experience and places with her grandchildren, Disneyland being on the top of the hit list.
She was a selfless woman and she left this world with a smile and not one complaint on her tongue.
We were all blessed beyond words to be loved by her or even to share a moment with her uplifting spirit.
Her good deeds and a heart full of giving span far and wide.
She will be missed by many; there are no words other than to be thankful that we all shared a part of her life here on earth.
