We gather to celebrate and give thanks for the cherished memories and gifts that Gloria gave us.
In life, Gloria was a beautiful earth angel that blessed many. She will continue to be our angel
forever. She was born in Tijuana, Mexico, and was the youngest of five siblings: Elsa, Elena,
Raquel, Larry and Armando. Growing up, Gloria loved watching and playing sports with her
brother Armando. She enjoyed writing in her notebooks and diaries and had a passion for reading
books.
Gloria was friendly to all and one could always expect to be greeted by Gloria’s warm smile and
caring heart. She had a blessed gift of being able to connect with all she met. Her kindred spirit
allowed everyone to feel her caring heart wanting to take care of all she could for anyone that
needed her. She was a true friend to all. Even on first impression, she could make you feel like
she had known you all her life.
Gloria had a gift, her nurturing spirit for all children. Her calling was to share her spirit in
molding young children and providing guidance to families. Gloria dedicated more than 40
years in the classroom fulfilling her calling. She blessed many families with her kindness,
honesty and devotion to shaping young minds with her “tough-love” attitude. Her connection
with families and children transcended many years. She cared for each and every one of the
children she touched. She believed in giving them the foundation they needed to succeed in
school and life. She mentored, mothered and befriended her colleagues and was respected by
many.
In her private life, Gloria met her soulmate Danny at a very young age through family
connections. As they grew in friendship and love together, they became high school sweethearts
and married. They have been married for thirty three beautiful years. They shared the strongest
marriage and the deepest love. They are blessed with two beautiful daughters Nebrina and Dani.
Both Gloria and Danny believed being a parent was the greatest joy they got to experience. They
shared and loved every moment of parenthood together in unity.
In her home life, Gloria treasured her family. Being a mother was her pride and joy.
She adored her daughters and never went a day without telling them how much she loved them..
She was a mother that was present in every moment of every stage in both of her daughter’s life.
She would say “no matter how old you are, I will always be your mother.”
She instilled the importance of education in her household, and made it a priority always to
ensure that her daughters would succeed and become college graduates with careers.
Her daughters would call her a “Mother Teresa” because she always put everyone’s needs above
her own. She continuously helped others throughout her life. She always saw the best in
everyone. She was a simple woman that was always thankful for everything she had and instilled
in her children to always count their blessings.
Gloria’s love surrounded all of us and continues to give us strength and determination. We will
miss her, but her spirit will live within us. She is survived by her husband Danny and her
daughters Nebrina and Dani.
We are blessed to have been touched by her spirit.
