Elizabeth Jane Weaver passed away on May 14, 2017 at the age of 77. She was born on April 19, 1940 in La Porte, Indiana and was a 40-year resident of Lancaster, California. She lovingly educated Lancaster’s children for 30 years at Joshua Elementary School, and was passionate about volunteering at the Antelope Valley Fair and through both the Zonta Club and Quartz Hill Women’s Club. She was also known for her love of arts and crafts, including her award winning handcrafted teddy bears. During the holidays, she could be found driving Santa Claus throughout the valley, putting smiles on young faces while raising money for those in need. Elizabeth was a beloved member of our community, and her presence will live on through those who survive and continue to love her, including her husband, David Weaver, her daughter, Kristina Raspe, her son-in-law Steve Raspe, her grandchildren Jacob and Lucas Raspe, her sister, Linda Stevens, her brother, Dennis Gregory, and many other family members and beloved friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Joshua Memorial Park and Mortuary, followed by interment.
