I wrote to tell you how much I love and care for you. I saw you walking and laughing with friends yesterday; I hoped you would call Me to join you, so I painted a sunset to close your day and whispered a cool breeze to refresh you. I waited; you never called. I just kept on loving you.
As I watched you fall asleep last night, I wanted to touch you. I spilled moonlight on your face. It trick-led down your cheeks as so many tears have. You didn't think of Me; I wanted to comfort you.
Today I explored a brilliant sunrise into glorious morning, but you woke late, rushed off to work, and didn't even notice. My sky became cloudy and my tears were the rain.
O, if you would only listen; I really love you. I say it in quiet green meadows and blue skies. The winds whispers in the treetops are My love. It spills its vibrant colors among the flowers. My love is the thunder of waterfalls and the lovesong of birds. You are clothed in My sunshine and breathe the sweet scent of Nature's perfume. My love is deeper than an ocean and greater than the needs of your heart. Know that I care.
Dad sends His love. I want you to meet Him; He cares, too. Fathers are like that. Please call soon. No matter how long it takes, I'll wait because I love you.
Your Friend,
Jesus
