Ruth Connolly Eichhorn

EICHHORN, Ruth C., 85, passed away on April 30, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband Robert of 64 years, daughter Linda Hileman (Gary ) of Tampa, Florida and son Scott (Joan) of Basking Ridge, NJ. Grandchildren include Chris (Jenna Henry), Rob (Jess Henry) and Lori (Mike Hays), Tom (Tina Eichhorn), Lisa (Tom Kehoe) and Patrick. Great-grandchildren are Tyler Hays, Tyler, Connor and Teigan Kehoe. Ruth and her husband resided in Westfield for 45 years where she was employed by Esso and as a legal secretary in several law firms. Ruth was an active member and Sunday School teacher at the Third Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth where she was married 64 years ago; an active member of the Nomahegan Swim and Tennis Club, a Brownie Troop leader and a cheering mom for all of her children’s events. Many summers were spent in Ocean Grove. Her family will receive friends on Monday, May 4th from 9:30-11:30 AM at D'Elia’s Funeral Home, Rt 70 in Lakewood. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield at 2 PM. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, and will be missed by all.
