Henry was born in Jersey City in 1948. The family moved to Ocean County from Keyport area in the early 1960’s. Henry graduated from Brick Township High School in 1967 and worked for Pfizer Corporation in Elizabeth for many years. He returned to Ocean County and lived in Point Pleasant and most recently, Lakewood.
Henry was a unique and private individual with a lifelong interest in the history of trains, busses and all forms of transportation, due to his grandfather’s career with the railroad. He was an avid Philadelphia area sports fan. He enjoyed attending Blue Claws games and was proud of the Blue Claws’ and Phillies’ recent successes. Henry was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Dorothy Halm. He is survived by his brother, Dennis Halm and his wife, Linda of Lakewood, sisters, Catherine Petersen of Wyoming and Dorothy Perez and her husband, Tony, of Toms River and seven nieces and nephews, Patrick Halm and his wife Brianne, Michael Halm, Shauna and Ryan Petersen, Elizabeth, Melissa, and Antonio Perez.
Services: Friends may call Monday, January 24, 2011 from 4-6 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 5:30pm the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
