Florence Rose Koch, 87, passed away April 26, 2015 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, NJ. Mrs. Koch was born and raised in Spring Lake Heights NJ and was a resident of Lakewood, NJ for the past 50 years. She attended Manasquan High School graduating in the mid 1940’s. Florence worked as a telephone operator of New Jersey Bell for many years and also for Air Cruisers Manufacturing in Wall, NJ. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling and racquet ball. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister and will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Koch is predeceased by her son Steven Cook, grandson, Michael Parker, parents, George and Elizabeth Ireland, and siblings, Betty Walker, William Ireland and Robert Ireland. Florence is survived by her children, Sharon Windham and her husband John, Ardyth Parker and her husband Michael, George Cook, and Colleen Witten and her husband Allan, grandchildren, Jeffery, Jerrod, Jan, Chris, Melissa, Ryan, McKenna, Jacob, Malachi, and Neil, 15 great grandchildren and siblings, George Ireland, Dotti Kenney, Vivian Greeves and her husband Joe and Ruth Lee. Memorial gathering will be held on Friday, May 1 2015 2-3:30pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Memorial service will start at 3:30pm at the funeral home. Burial of cremated remains will be held privately.
