Eva "Eve" Conover, age 84, of Lakewood, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Harrogate Health Care Center in Lakewood, New Jersey. Eve was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on May 22, 1939 as the daughter of the late Adam and Amelia Seigfried. After being raised in Long Branch, New Jersey, Eve was a resident of Middletown, New Jersey, prior to retiring to the Fairways at Lakewood, New Jersey. She retired after a career as a legal secretary with several firms. Eve was a former Librarian of St. Leo The Great Elementary School in Lincroft, New Jersey and active in the various activities of the school and parish. Eve enjoyed tennis and golf. Eva is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Edward M. Conover; their two children, Edward M. Conover, Jr. (Palma), and Eva M. Conover; her siblings, Joseph Seigfried (Louise), Michael Seigfried (late wife Elaine) and Thomas Seigfried (Stephanie); and several nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.. Eve was preceded in death by her twin sister Katherine Cross (late George Cross). Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Mary of the Lake Church, 43 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Cremation will be private.
