Born in Newark, NJ and raised in Verona, he resided in West Orange and Livingston before moving to the Greenbriar Woodlands Community of Toms River in 2014.
David received a BS degree from Rutgers and a masters in economics from Penn State University. Prior to retiring, David served as an executive at Bamberger’s/Macy’s and IBM before working independently in marketing and product development of electronics and household goods. As part of his work, he traveled extensively in the US, South America, and Asia, logging over one million air miles. Beginning in 2002, David taught various business courses at colleges throughout the state.
David was passionate about sports, especially football and baseball, and loved James Bond films.
He was predeceased by his parents Ruth (née Pearlstein) and Fred Goldberg.
Surviving is his loving wife of 47 years, Susan; two sons, Matthew Goldberg and Dr. Michael Goldberg. Also surviving is a sister, Joan Furbish of New Zealand.
