Born in Lakewood, NJ he resided in the Lakewood and Toms River areas all of his life. He was a loving soul who cared deeply for his family. Christopher had a big and gentle heart and enjoyed sharing it with everyone and all of God’s creatures. He was an avid Mets and Cowboys fan, he loved to play the drums, ride his skateboard and had a fearless and reckless attitude towards life. Christopher was a loving son, brother, grandson and friend and will be greatly missed by all. Christopher is survived by his parents Glenn and Theresa Clayton who his efforts were driven by his aspirations of making them proud. He is also survived by a Sister, Heather Lotto and her husband Larry, a sister Maria and a Brother, Joseph. His maternal grandmother, Mary Janocha and paternal grandmother, Evelyn Clayton, many aunts, uncles, cousins, best friend Justin Herdman and many other friends. All will miss his mischievous smirk and his outlook on life known to him as, “Learn to Swim.”
A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 6-9PM at the D’Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ A Memorial mass will be celebrated Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:30AM at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Chistopher’s memory to the Ocean Harbor House 808 Conifer St. Toms River, NJ 08753.
