Catherine A. Malloy, 100, passed away March 5, 2013 at Harrogate in Lakewood, NJ. Catherine was formerly a resident of Newark, NJ. She was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Academy in Newark, The College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ and Columbia University in New York. Catherine was employed by the City of Newark as a Home Economics Teacher with the Board of Education. She was a loving aunt, grand aunt and great grand aunt and will be greatly missed by all. Catherine is survived by her niece Gwen Baumann of Avon by the Sea, NJ, a nephew, Terry Malloy of Houston, TX, several grandnieces and nephews and a few great grand nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, March 11, 2013 from 9-10am at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 10:30AM at the St. Mary of the Lake Church in Lakewood. Entombment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in Lakewood.
