Terry Clemenson, age 71, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all his family. Terry had a long happy filled life as a devoted husband, father, and the most amazing Grandpa. He loved being with his family the most and enjoyed his 71 years of life.
Terry started his life’s journey in Fargo, ND where he lived out his younger years. His family eventually moved to Crookston, MN and that is where he met the love of his life Leann. They got married in 1978 and moved to Colorado where they shared 50 years of incredible memories and lots of love having their 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
Terry’s biggest passions in life were his grandchildren and hockey. All 8 grandkids were Terry’s pride and joy, he was extremely proud of all of them. He made sure he was at every event and special moment each of them had throughout the years, always making sure they knew how much he loved them. Hockey was also one of the biggest deals in the Clemenson household. Terry started coaching in 1982 in Colorado and he was a very devoted coach throughout his tenure of youth hockey and a variety of other sports he coached as well.
He is survived by his wife, Leann; children, Eric (Shelly), Cameron (Amber), and Kaitlyn (Erik); grandchildren, Levi, Shaelyn, Tysen, Makayla, Emery, McKenzie, Huntter, and River; siblings, Ellert, Byran, Michael, Todd, Steven, Tammy Verla, Twyla, Sanda, Benita and Christy. Terry is preceded in death by his parents Darlaine and Andwick Clemenson; siblings Leory Clemenson, Lavonne Clemenson, and Larry Clemenson.
Terry left a lasting impression on every person and athlete that he met during his life. He was extremely loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11AM at Foothills Ice Arena in Lakewood.
Terry will be laid to rest following his funeral service at 1PM in Olinger Hampden Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
