On behalf of the family, we want to say thank you for sharing a memory. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. If She touched your life in some way, whether you are a family member or a friend, you know the amazing strength she had. I pray that we may all be joined by the memory of our sweet mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother.
Born in 1924, our mother survived many historical events. The great depression, 2 world wars, the loss of her beloved husband, the loss of 8 of her siblings; two of her son's, and too many family members
and friends to count. She watched as the world change and despite it all, to her, life was worth living.
A true testament to her never-ending love for her children, courage and strength, but mostly her never ending faith in God.
Our mother's passion for teaching was just one of her many strengths. She volunteered her time with Volunteers of America. She was involved with Food Banks of the Rockies and the Foster Grand Parent programs. She loved to sing, and dance. Mostly to her "cowboy music", as she would say. She loved to cook and bake. She loved life.
Our mother was 95 years old, Her body aged, but her mind stayed as sharp as a tack. She read the newspaper everyday, stayed up on the latest happenings around the world, politics and the latest on the Denver Broncos. She was amazing.
She gave herself to others unselfishly. First by being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was the head of generations of children. She loved us all and we all loved her.
Our mother's Catholic faith in God, all of his angels and saints guided her throughout her life. She knew
his kingdom would be her final resting place. When her body would no longer allow her to go to church,
she watched mass on television and received communion in her home weekly. She prepared herself
for that day. God allowed us to share the love of his angel for 95 years. Her body weakened but her faith grew stronger.
He called her to her final resting place on January 25,2020. She looked to the heavens that morning and said her last prayer while here on earth. I believe, he said, her job was well done. She took her
final breath and left to join him in his kingdom. Her body was anointed by the Catholic priest, we prayed together, our faith tells us that she will now rest in peace, in the Kingdom of heaven forever.
Glory be to God!
She will always remain in our hearts and through the sweet memories that join us as one.
Rest In Peace our loving angel, until we see you again,
XOxo.
