Glenn Henry Brocker

Glenn Henry Brocker, formerly of Arvada, CO passed away at his home in Ft. Mohave, AZ on March 5, 2021. He was born on April 14, 1943 in Denver, CO to Glenn E. Brocker and Lucille Waller Brocker. He attended East High School and graduated from Metropolitan State University. At the age of 19 he began his career with the U.S. Geological Survey. He retired from the USGS, National Mapping Division, Rocky Mountain Mapping Center, Branch of Cartometric Operations in Denver, CO on December 30, 1997 after 35 years of service. He had a very successful leadership style and advanced to Section Chief over two thematic units that provided geophysical, geological and water resource maps. He also oversaw a fledgling geographic information system unit as it blossomed into a full-fledged GIS operation. He will be remembered for his clean-cut, honest personality and for maintaining great communication with his subordinates, peers and superiors alike.

Glenn served 7 years with The Air National Guard. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and was awarded The Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service in the Republic of Viet Nam while engaging in operations of opposing armed forces. The application of his knowledge played a significant role in contributing to the success of the United States Air Force mission in Southeast Asia. He served as a personal Equipment Specialist, 120th Tactical Fighter Squadron.

Glenn married Teresa (Terri) Wiesner on 12-27-69 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Denver, CO. They soon welcomed two daughters to their union. It was a special day when his Granddaughter was born. Haley was the "apple of his eye". Glenn enjoyed travelling with his girls, especially to California and Kansas to visit Grandparents and fun tours of Disneyland, Disneyworld and he

relished their many cruises together.

Glenn could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He designed and built a wall to wall brick fireplace in his Arvada home of 46 years and constructed a redwood deck as large as the first floor of his home. He tackled many projects with determination and perfection.

During his retirement he held several part time positions, but the most gratifying was preparing taxes for citizens, 50 and older or who have low to moderate incomes. He was IRS certified through the AARP Foundation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn E. and Lucille Brocker, Glendora, CA., brother, Chester Brocker, Apple Valley, CA and nephew, Thomas Ray Brocker, Riverside, CA., his Mother and Father-in-law, Catherine and Louis Wiesner and sister-in-law, Cheryl Casey Wiesner.

He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Terri, daughters Amy Suzanne Brocker, Wheat Ridge, CO, Wendy Noelle Alley, Ft. Mohave, AZ, Granddaughter, Haley Elizabeth Alley, Ft. Mohave, AZ, sister, Madeline Soper, niece, Bridget Meredith and son Robby, nephew John (Elena) Soper and children, Meg, Justin and Ethan, all of Chino, CA, sister-in-law Linda Brocker, and nephew, Paul Brocker, both of Apple Valley, CA, Brothers-in-law, Phillip Wiesner, Hays, KS and Andrew (Dawn) Wiesner, Grand Junction, CO.

Celebration of Life, March 26, 2021 at 10:00 am at Advantage Runyan-Stevenson Mortuary, 6425 West Alameda Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80226. Inurnment at Ft. Logan National Cemetery with Military Honors. Glenn will be remembered for his strong work ethic and unique sense of humor. His family and friends have been blessed with wonderful memories.
