Dorothy “Dottie” Jaramillo passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024, at the age of 87, surrounded by her children and grandchildren at her home in Denver, Colorado. Dorothy was our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Born on August 21, 1936, in Denver, Colorado, to Amos and Martha Padilla, Dorothy attended St. Joseph Catholic school, Baker Jr. High, and West High schools. She grew up with many passions. She played softball and loved sports. She was a cosmetologist, teacher, and her favorite of all, a grandmother.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Henry, Paul, Frank, Gilbert, Ray, John, her beloved daughter, Cynthia Jaramillo, and her loving grandson, Aaron. Dottie is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving sister, Judy Padilla, children Randy (Theresa) Jaramillo, Linda (Dale) Jackson, and Dina (Jesse) Taylor; grandchildren Angelo Jaramillo, Richard Jaramillo, Andrea Lujan, Elisa Jaramillo, Isaac Jaramillo, Jordyn Taylor, and Jazmine Taylor, 20 great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

We will have a celebration of Dottie’s life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Westside Church Internacional, 3440 West Louisiana Ave, Denver, CO 80219 at 11:00am to be officiated by her lifelong Pastor William Rodriguez.
