Carol Evelyn MacFarlane

Carol Evelyn MacFarlane passed away at age 84 on August 17th, 2020. She is survived by her children, daughter, Linda Siewert; son, Steven MacFarlane (Christy); 3 grandchildren Joseph, Samantha (Ben) & Jeffrey; also 3 great-grandchildren, Noah, Ainsley & Deklyn.

Philanthropist, member and past National President of Phi Tau Omega Sorority. She was an active member of both Lakewood Christian Church and St. Paul’s Community Church, serving as Choir Director at each. She had a love of music, singing, and she enjoyed playing both the piano and the harp.

Fun, fun-loving and social, Carol enjoyed many exciting get-togethers and vacations with family and friends. She and Dennis looked forward to their trip to the Grand Hotel at Mackinac Island with her cousins every summer.

As written by Carol in her autobiography:

”I like to cook, sew, knit, play bridge, read a good book now and then and play the piano for my own enjoyment.”

The following were not my words but express how I feel:

“I shall pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
