Andrea Encinas, age 94 passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Andrea was born October 14,1927 in Pueblo, Colorado to Geneva and Ignacio Gonzales. She was one of 8 children born to the family. Andrea was born and raised in Pueblo, only moving to Denver after her marriage to Ramon Encinas.
A devout Catholic, Andrea enjoyed sewing garments for the Infant Jesus. One is prominently displayed in the Santo Nino Chapel in Chimayo, New Mexico. Andrea's passion wasn't just being a devout and loving Catholic, it was also being a wife and amazing mother and grandmother. That was her true life blood. Her favorite color was pink, she always wore it, everything was pink, and it was as though like she lived in a rose colored world. The color suited not only her skin tone, and decor, but her bright personality as well.
Andrea is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ramon; siblings, Julia, Cora, Tony, Henry, Margaret, and Ray; and son, Gerard. She is survived by her children, Mary (Mickey) and Larry (Lori); grandchildren, Michael, Luis, Andrea, Raymond, Nigel, and Max; great-grandchildren, Alex, Isabella, Aeden, Athena, Aiyanna, Alexa, Ezra, and Gabriella; and her sister, Alice.
