Sarah Elizabeth Barrow of Austin, TX passed on December 28, 2012. She was 79. Sarah was born on September 26, 1933 and was the only daughter of Edward Roland Barrow and Jane Ewing Barrow. Her only brother, Captain Edward Ewing Barrow, lost his life in the Korean War as a pilot in the 111th Fighter Bomber Squadron. Sarah attended Bryn Mawr College and graduated from Rice University in 1958. Throughout her life, Sarah lived in Houston, Austin, Watchung, NJ, and Rockport, TX.
For many years, Sarah was a successful developer in Austin and was the driving force behind the creation of some of Austin's well known communities. In her later years, she retired to Rockport to pursue her avid passion of bird watching and coastal living. But Sarah will be remembered as someone who, upon her first greeting, touched people's hearts as very few can naturally do. For those who met her, no other words are necessary in her remembrance. For those who never did, she was uniquely sensitive and perceptive of others and was well known for her extraordinary kindness and generosity.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Marvin H. Seline, and her four children, Edward Barrow Kemper, Randy Ewing Kemper and his spouse Roxann Day, William Lee Kemper, III and his spouse Ann Marie Kemper, and Sarah's only daughter, Amy Elizabeth Kemper. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Angela Cardenas and her spouse Rey Cardenas, Brandon Bailey, Savannah Kemper and Lily Kemper and great grandchild Mateo Cardenas.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm, on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish, 411 Ranch Road 620 South, Lakeway, TX.
