Roy is survived by his wife, Betty, daughter, Kristin Swanson Alaimo & spouse John Alaimo, son, Steven Richard Swanson & spouse Waew, grandson Christopher James Swanson, sister Karin Briere & brother Carl Swanson.
Roy served valiantly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed fishing, but his main passion was Palm Beach County Youth Football League, where he volunteered for over 30 years. He was employed with Florida Power & Light for 35 years.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 9th, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, Lake Worth, Fl. Funeral will be Thursday, February 9th, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be at South Florida National Cemetery, Friday, February 10th, 2017.
