Born September 21, 1926 in Jamaica, NY, he was the son of the late George T. and Emma (Kozian) English.
George was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. George was very proud of his service to our country.
He was a member of the Volunteer and Exempt Firemen’s Benevolent Association of North Massapequa, NY.
He loved Major League Baseball and especially the New York Yankees. George was also long- time umpire for men’s softball. He loved to read, play cards, and take cruises with his wife Adele.
George was predeceased by his wife Adele and his first wife, Jeanne. He is survived by seven children, eleven grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. George is also survived by two sisters.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 9:00-10:00am at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth. Prayer Services will begin at 10:00am at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
