Gary Patrick Delaney

Gary Patrick Delaney, age 77, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021. Gary was born August 19, 1944 in Sharon, Connecticut. He was a first generation Irishman spending his childhood in Litchfield and Greenwich Connecticut with a love for horses, hockey and baseball. Both parents Margaret Costine and Patrick Joseph Delaney where originally from County Cork, Ireland. Gary married the love of his life, Linda Dell Stahler, three different times on June 1st spending over 50 years together and having three children with 5 grandchildren. Gary was an avid golfer who played some of the most famous golf courses in the world. He shot one of his personal best games at the age 68 with 4 shots under his age with a score of 64. Gary spent his career in real estate selling the finest golf course developments from the ground up such as Pinehurst North Carolina, Kiawah Island and Hilton Head Island in South Carolina and Captiva Island Florida. He always succeeded in becoming the #1 salesman on the team. Gary's favorite place to spread cheer was always the 19th Hole or an old Irish Pub.

Gary is survived by his Daughter Angela VonMinden Delaney of Jupiter, Florida, Grandson Bradley James VonMinden. Daughter Erica Delaney Fischer of Boca Raton, Grandson Logan Patrick Gaynor, Grandson Clayton Patrick Fischer, Grandson Luke Patrick Fishcer and the only Granddaughter Ashley Marie Fischer. Sister Barbara Barbour of London, England. Preceded in death by his wife Linda Dell Delaney and Son Ryan Patrick Delaney.

A gathering of family & friends for Gary will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461, followed by a celebration of life service at 2:30 PM. A Final Farewell Toast will follow the service at Tim Finnegan's Irish Pub 2885 S Federal Hwy Delray Beach, Fl 33483
