Edward John McMorris, a beloved Boynton Beach, Florida resident, passed away on October 30, 2024, at 83. Ed was born in Yonkers, New York, and spent much of his life in Mahopac, New York, where he built a career at Local Union 3 IBEW. In 2005, he embraced retirement and relocated to Boynton Beach, where he enjoyed the sunshine and warmth of his new community.
Ed was proudest of his role as a family man. He cherished time spent with his children—Ted, Kerri, Aimee, Kathi, and Clare—and his grandchildren—Edward, Shannon, Abby, Hassan, Ben, and Dan. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren—Oliver, Luna, Oscar, and Grace. His love for them was evident in his shared stories and the laughter they created together.
An avid golfer and passionate ballroom dancer, Ed found joy in the rhythm of life, whether swinging clubs on the course or gliding across the dance floor. Those who knew him will remember his infectious smile, quick wit, and engaging personality, which could light up any room.
Ed’s legacy of laughter and a zest for life will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
