Arthur “Artie” Russell Rosenthal, 52, of Lake Worth Beach, FL, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 24, 2024. Artie was born in Queens, NY, on May 14, 1972, and grew up in Brentwood, Queens. From a young age, Artie showed a passion for mechanics, often taking apart household appliances to learn how they worked. His curiosity blossomed into a lifelong career in the automotive service industry, earning him the nickname “The Wizard of Cars” during his years working in New York.
Artie relocated to South Florida, where he spent 24 fulfilling years in automotive service with brands such as Kia, Dodge, Mazda, and Chrysler. He rose through the ranks from Service Advisor to Service Director, building a reputation as both a talented mechanic and a beloved colleague. To his co-workers, Artie was more than a mentor – he was family. His intelligence, warmth, and skill earned him numerous accolades and the respect of all who worked alongside him.
Artie is survived by his devoted wife, Melissa Rosenthal, with whom he shared 27 beautiful years. They were the epitome of soulmates, bound together by deep love, laughter, and a shared joy for life. Together, they raised their daughters, Ashley Quinones and Zoe (Nick) Constable, instilling in them the values of love, hard work, and kindness. Artie was also eagerly anticipating welcoming Michael Albanese, his future son-in-law, into the family.
Family was at the heart of Artie’s world, and he will be missed by his aunt Maureen (Alfred “Rocky”) Fiammetta, and cousins Brian (Mary-Jo) Martone, Kerryn (Andy) Loesner, Joseph “Joey” (Heather) Fiammetta, John Fiammetta, Lauren Loesner, Kyle Loesner, and Sophia Loesner. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Virginia Rosenthal, and his beloved aunt and uncle, Ellen and Thomas McArdle.
Artie’s love for music spanned genres and decades, from Frank Sinatra to Nas, Barry Manilow to Garth Brooks. He was a movie buff, often rewatching favorites like Casino and the Rocky trilogy especially, and he enjoyed TV shows like The Sopranos, Sons of Anarchy and This Is Us. More than anything, Artie cherished the simple moments with his wife – riding their Harley Davidson together or enjoying a home-cooked meal and their favorite TV shows.
A graduate of Holy Cross High School in Flushing, Queens, Artie was raised in the Catholic faith, which continued to be a guiding influence throughout his life.
Melissa and the entire Rosenthal family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of support from friends, family, and the community during this difficult time. Artie’s legacy of love, generosity, and humor will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
