Angelina Teela Torres, 36 years old born November 15, 1984 of West Palm Beach, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 15, 2020.
Angelina leaves behind a loving family, daughter, Leilani Torres, mother, Awilda Cruz, brother, Nikki Cruz, nephews, Daniel Cruz, Tomas Cruz, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Angelina also leaves behind her family at Teen Challenge, a family that enabled her to find her faith and identity in Christ and whom she was able to travel with on international missions trips to share God’s message of hope and restoration.
In 2008, Angelina graduated from Palm Beach State Nursing Academy and worked as a pediatric nurse in St. Mary’s Hospital. She loved nursing because she loved helping others.
Angelina was an artist. Not only did she love to paint , write poetry and create but she also loved music, a gift inherited from her father, the late Tomas V. Cruz. In 2020, Angelina started #freedomfriday, a Facebook vlog where she shared her personal testimony and message of hope to hundreds via social media. It quickly became a lifeline for many.
Angelina will be remembered for her infectious laugh, generosity and beautiful spirit. She gave everyone she came into contact with her absolute best. She took pride in helping her Teen Challenge sisters feel their best inside and out. Angelina used her gifts to bless and encourage so many people and she leaves a legacy of faith and restoration only found in Christ.
