William E. Koetje, 58, of Lake Odessa passed unexpectedly into the arms of Jesus on July 15, 2021. Bill was born on November 6, 1962 in Grand Rapids, MI to Eugene and Joyce Koetje. On March 17, 1989 he married Tanya Oosterhouse. Bill loved to play card games with his family. He was an avid gardener, hunter and hobby farmer. History was a true passion of his, which he has passed on to his kids.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by; wife Tanya, children; Josiah, Jesse, Matthew, Elizabeth "Gracie", Lucas and Kathryn, parents Joyce (Royce) Wilcox, in-laws Ken (Nancy) Oosterhouse, siblings Peter Koetje and Kristine (John) VanLaan, brothers-in-law; Ryan (Sarah) Oosterhouse, Seth (Becky) Oosterhouse, Caleb (Mallory) Oosterhouse, sister-in-law Julie (David) Kastanek.
Preceded in death by his father Eugene Koetje.
Visitation will be held at Koops Funeral Chapel on July 19, 2021 from 6pm until 8pm. Funeral services will be held at the Christ the King PCA Church in Hastings on July 20, 2021 at 11am with burial taking place at 2:30pm at Clarksville Cemetery.
