Larry David Williams, Sr.

Larry David Williams, Sr, age 73, of Woodland, passed unexpectedly on January 10, 2017 at home in Woodland, MI. He was born on January 16, 1943 to Lafayette and Sophia (Cooke) Williams in Hastings, MI. He was a 1961 graduate of Nashville High School. On July11,1963 he married Nuala Hackett. Larry worked as an inspector for Fisher Body for many years. Larry enjoyed gardening and his grandchildren. The family will always remember his quick wit, cherished pet horse Stop & Go along with his tall tales. Larry is survived by his loving spouse of 53 years Nuala; two daughters, Lynn (Mark) Everett, Kathy (Russ) McCarren; son, Larry D. Williams, Jr.; two brothers, Jim (Diane) Williams, Mike (Helen) Williams; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous siblings. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Koops Funeral Chapel, Inc., Lake Odessa, MI. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017, 11:00 am at the St. Edward Catholic Church, Lake Odessa, MI, with Ft. Tom Brown officiating.
