So sorry to hear about Mr Hersey’s passing. I have great memories of him since I and my brothers and sister grew up right across the street from the Duhons .

I remember telling him about a “loose tooth” I had once and he offered to tie one end of my loose tooth to the door knob and then slam the door shut. He laughed and said that would take care or it. I declined LOL

What a man, that Hersey!  Generosity could be his middle name; he was so giving…in knowledge, in work and in laughs.  He touched so many people and will be sorely missed.   Prayers to Maria, DeDe and Raymond.  God rest his soul.

I thought the world of Hersey!  We got to be friends when I was still in high school.  He was always fun and such a loyal friend.  He definitely made the world a better place.  Y’all are in my heart and in my prayers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, Delia "DeDe" Sanders (Fred) of Cameron, Raymond Duhon (Donna) of Lake Charles and Maria Duhon of Creole; six grandchildren, David Nunez, Melissa Savoie, Ethan Nunez, Megan Morgan, Matthew Morgan, and John Warner; eight great grandchildren, David Charles, Samantha, Nathan and Oliver Nunez, MacKenzie and Preston Savoie, Sterling Grace Warner and Silas Morgan Bennett.


He preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Turpin Duhon; three brothers, Alvin, Ruster and Pete Duhon; and one sister, Glenda Conner.
