Michelle Renee Doucet, age 58, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. She was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana and raised in Big Lake. Michelle attended Barbe High School.
Her children were her world! Michelle was a very loving person and she loved big, she would take anyone under her wing and take care of them as if they were her own. She loved to cook southern home cooked meals, that was her love language. Family gatherings were her favorite, getting to see all the family and all the babies and grand babies would fill her heart with so much love. That’s all she ever wanted was to see her family together and happy. She would cook a big meal and just enjoy her time with everyone. The holidays were very special to Michelle, she had all kinds of traditions that she would do with her children and grandchildren that she loved dearly. Her grandchildren were her everything, she’d talk about them all day everyday and always call and talk on the phone with them for hours if not all day. They adored their mawmaw and will always love her and never forget her. Towards the end of her days, Michelle was still filled with so much love and she still had that sweet but sassy attitude to her that we all knew and will forever know. She was an amazing, strong and independent women, mother and friend! Let this not be a good bye but a see you again another day.
Those left to cherish her memories include her two sons; Wayne Doucet and Daniel Doucet, her Daughter; Carrington Garrick, her parents; Hewitt & Deanna Alice Doucet, three grandchildren; Tommy, Ella and Aleigh, and her sisters; Kelly Doucet Vanessa Doucet.
The family will welcome friends for memorial services led by Hixson celebrant Jody Barrilleaux at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home at 12pm Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
