Michael Dale Smith, age 72, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

Michael was born in Glenmora, LA to parents Webster Smith and Billie Marie West on May 08, 1951.

He moved to Colorado for many years and worked as a welder. He eventually returned and settled in Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Paul Standford.

Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Glenn(Cynthia) of Pineville, LA, Jimmy(Debbie) of Lakewood, CO, Elva(David)of Lake Charles, LA, and Lee from Pineville, LA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, as well as Harbor Hospice, for the care of their brother.

A special thanks to friends (brothers).

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
