Marjorie "Margie" Rose Chapman

Marjorie "Margie" Rose Chapman, 79, of Many, LA. passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at her residence. She was born to her late parents, Clarence and Martha Winters on February 12, 1942 in Drew, MS. Some of her hobbies included fishing, hunting, cooking, attending church, watching her Westerns (especially Rawhide), and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James "Jimmy" Chapman; two daughters, Teri Gunter of Sulphur, LA, Toni Romero (Jarrod) of Youngsville, LA; nine siblings; son-in-law, Ricky Gunter; three grandchildren, Savanna Gunter, Kyle Gunter, Gavin Tremie; two great grandchildren, Peyton Gunter and Elliott Gunter.

Marjorie is preceded in death by four siblings; and one granddaughter, Whitney Bland.

A Celebration of Margie's life will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 2:00pm, with Bro. Bill Craft of Lakeside Baptist Church in Many, LA. officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, beginning at 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Old Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff, LA.
