Lake Charles - Judson A. Lassiter, 88, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012, at a local care center.
He was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church and was a Deacon of 12th St. Baptist Church. His hobby for 16 years was a HAM radio operator.
Survivors include his sons, Kerry Lassiter and Judson Lassiter Jr. and wife, Peggy; 4 grandchildren, Thomas, Renee, David and Christina Lassiter and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Stella Lassiter; wife, Dorothy Tillery Lassiter; brothers, Horace and Wilmer Lassiter; sister, Martha Bazemore; grandchild, Jennifer Lassiter.
His funeral will be 11am Thursday, December 27, at Hixson Funeral Home. The Rev. Alan Weishampel will officiate. Visitation is Wednesday, December 26, 3-9pm and will resume Thursday 8am until service time. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery.
