Joseph George Hesse Sr.

He retired from the U S Navy after twenty three years of service. During his service career he taught electronics at the Sonar School and he was also a career counselor and a recruiter. After his retirement he was a sales manager for Radford Buick. He also loved all his motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Betty Hesse; sons, Joe Hesse, Jr. and wife Michelle; Tim Hesse, Sr.; David Hesse; daughter, Melissa Broussard; sister, Kathy Loewer and husband Fred; grandchildren, Brandon, Jon, Michael, Kayla, TJ, Danny, Randy, Jesse, Amanda, Jordan, Dylan, Kaden; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Hesse, Sr.; mother, Kathy DePagter and brother, Carl Hesse, Jr.

His service will be 10:00 a.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Kevin Lawson will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and resume Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Lacassine Cemetery.
