Inez Silverene Cagle Young

She was born in Merryville on September 20, 1927 to Rollie and Catherine Beard Cagle and moved to Lake Charles in 1944. She and her husband moved to Moss Bluff in 1957, where they resided until their deaths. Inez was a graduate and valedictorian of Merryville High School. She retired from Gulf National Bank in Lake Charles in numerous capacities. Inez was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who never met a stranger.

Survivors include her son, Larry Young and wife, Shelia of Lafayette; daughter, Margaret Fleming and husband, Doug of Westlake; granddaughter, Jill Moore and husband, Josh of Moss Bluff; and great grandson, Jaxon Moore of Moss Bluff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph V. Young; sons, Reggie and Joey Young; her parents; sister, Irene Cagle Ashworth; and Cagle brothers, Kurt, Willard, Earl, John, Cecil, Doc and Louis.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff from 2pm-8pm and will resume on Sunday from 11am until service time at 2pm. Chaplain Tom Bruce will officiate. Burial will be at Old Ritchie Cemetery. The family wants to give a special thank you to Christus St. Patrick’s Hospice team especially, Courtney Montgomery, Anita Lane, Dawn Broussard, Chaplain Tom Bruce, Michelle Cormier and Erin Aucoin.
