He was a native of Sulphur and a longtime resident of Moss Bluff. He was a member of Living Way Pentecostal Church and the Lake Charles Racquet Club. Deven enjoyed church activities, playing tennis, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, son, and friend.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Ramanda Martin of Moss Bluff; his parents, Kent and Phyllis Martin of Sulphur; his children, Tabbytha Martin, Andrew Kent Martin, and Natalie Gayle Martin; and his sister, Amber Ann Doyle of Starks.
His funeral was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, in Living Way Pentecostal Church, 1617 E. McNeese Street in Lake Charles, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home and 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the church.
