Born December 15, 1932 to Henry and Anna Marie Allgeier, she enjoyed being part of a large farming family. Many of her happiest memories came from the hard work, play and frequent family gatherings that were held. She loved her life in LaGrange and lived there until moving closer to family in 2017.
She attended Oldham County schools and later met and married her husband of 62 years Junius ‘Junie’ Latimer(2014). She worked and retired from The Kentucky State Reformatory. There was a long retirement ahead for her and our Dad. The trips to visit family, selling her crafts at shows, family reunions, watching UK play basketball with Junie, cruises and other excursions were always enjoyed.
Our Mom was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Church for many decades. She was ever present in our lives, regardless of distance. She was there for every important event. Her hard work and constant support will never be forgotten. Even as her journey with Alzheimer’s became more difficult she retained her sense of humor and made the best of every situation.
We take great comfort knowing she is at peace, reunited with our Dad and under God’s care.
In addition to Junie she was proceeded in death by her brothers John, Gene and Henry ‘Bud’ Allgeier and sister Rita Bischoff.
She is survived by her children Anna Lee Dawson(Clyde) and Dennis Latimer(Christie). Five grandchildren: Chad Mayes, Courtney Fernandez, Meghan Mayes, Jenny Dombroski (Justin) and Kayleigh Latimer.
Six great grandkids: Rylan, Tarq , Hudson, Shelby, Jake and Madisyn.
Her sister, Catherine Lusby and brothers James and Norman Allgeier.
A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11am with burial to follow at Valley of Rest in LaGrange, KY. Visitation will be at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 3-7pm with a prayer service at 6pm.
