Morris "Mo" Wayne Roberts Sr.

Morris "Mo" Wayne Roberts Sr., 76, of LaGrange, KY, passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 4, 1948, Morris was the cherished son of the late JC and Naoma Roberts.

Morris was a devoted husband to his wife of 57 years, Ruth Roberts, and a proud father to his four children: Angela O'Neill, Sarah Rexroat, Morris “Robby” Roberts Jr. (Leanne), and Laura Ridgeway (Ronnie). He took immense joy in being a grandfather to 15 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 13, with one more on the way, all of whom were his pride and joy.

Morris was a Mason and a member of the Eagle Creek Golf Course. He Loved golf and fishing trips as well as watching UK basketball. Morris was also famous for his homemade banana ice cream, a sweet treat that brought smiles to family gatherings. His love for family was evident in everything he did; he made it his mission to create lasting memories and traditions that will continue to resonate for generations.

In addition to his family, Morris was an ardent supporter of the Crusade for Children, a cause that was close to his heart. In honor of his legacy, donations can be made to this organization to continue the work he so passionately supported.

Morris is survived by his brother, Howard "Doc" Roberts, along with his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his beloved son-in-law, Mark Rexroat; and his three sisters.

A celebration of Morris’s life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 West Jefferson Street in LaGrange, where family and friends will gather, have some refreshments, share stories and reminisce about the incredible man he was. Military Honors will begin at 2:30PM.

His warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
