Kendra Leigh Epperson, 41, of New Castle, Kentucky, passed away on December 16, 2024. Born on February 19, 1983, in Columbus, Ohio, her passion for Ohio State football began! Kendra’s love for life, adventure, and family was evident in everything she did.
Kendra was married to Ronnie “RJ” Epperson Jr. on Christmas Eve, her favorite day of the year. She is also survived by her beloved furbabies—Sissy, Si, and Rare Bear—who brought her joy and companionship, as well as her in-laws, Sherry Epperson and Michael Chappell.
A proud graduate of Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC), Kendra earned her degree in culinary arts and went on to become a talented chef with the Kentucky State Park System. Cooking was more than a career to Kendra; it was a way to nurture and share her love for others. Her creativity, warmth, and attention to detail touched many lives and brought joy to all who had the pleasure of enjoying her delicacies.
Outside of her culinary work, Kendra was an avid reader, with a particular love for romance novels with a twist of crime. She had a curiosity and enthusiasm for life that made her a treasured friend, and she will be deeply missed by her best friend, Jenny Hixon, as well as her goddaughters, Gabbie and Lillie, who brought her immense pride and joy.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date for those who loved Kendra to gather and share their memories.
In lieu of flowers, RJ kindly requests that donations be made directly to Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home and Cremation Services to assist with cremation services. This can be done by phone at 502-222-9497 or by mail and in person at 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031.
