He was retired from General Electric and later worked as a Trim Carpenter and for Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home as a Visitation Attendant. David served in the U.S. Navy. He was a Christian.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred and Susie Walling; siblings, Don Walling, Ray Walling, Bessie St. Clair, Nancy Mathis, Molly Rogers, Georgia Dunaway, Carl Walling and Clifford Walling.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Stansberry Walling; children, David Tobin Walling, Todd Wade Walling (Linda) and Patricia Renee Jones (Kenney); grandchildren, Nicole, Kayla, Todd and Ben; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation from 4-8 PM on Monday.
