Bill was a quiet man with a good heart. He was a born-again Christian with a heart to help those in need. He was a loving husband to Dee his wife of 57 years; devoted father to his two sons James and William, III; and proud grandfather to his grandson Jeremiah. He cherished his sweet and beautiful daughter-in-law Marty; his lovely granddaughter-in-law Breyenna and his lovely step granddaughter Cassidy.
He was preceded by his gentle-spirited and sweet daughter-in-law Rebecca Bohn.
Bill was an avid fan of old muscle cars and enjoyed working on them in his spare time. He had a great love for riding motorcycles. In his heart, being on the open road and riding off into the sunset way a perfect way to end the day. He would often help people struggling in need of a car repair by jumping in and fixing it for them. He loved to fish and hunt and said that he felt closer to God when he was out fishing on a lake or walking thru the woods. He preferred the simple family life and working on projects at home to crowded places with lots of people.
His career began in the electrical trade in Louisville, KY with the IBEW Local# 369 in the 1960's as a journeyman electrician. He also taught Apprenticeship School for 17 years. His mid-career was spent working in the automation industry installing conveyor systems for manufacturing firms...his specialty was automotive companies. Lastly, his career ended working for Allison Smith Electric Contractors as a project manager building data centers in several states in the U.S.
