Virginia O'Nea;l Lunsford

Mrs. Lunsford was born September 18, 1918 in Madras, GA, daughter of the late Tollison Kirby “TK” O’Neal and Lizzie Mae Jones O’Neal. She had lived in Harrisonville and Hogansville for most of her life. Mrs. Lunsford graduated with honors from Hogansville High School and was Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Lunsford, Jr., a son, Roy B. Lunsford, III, brother, J.W. O’Neal, sister, Mary O’Neal Hamilton, and a granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Bryan.

Survivors include her two daughters, Connie Thompkins and Susan (William) Bryan, both of LaGrange; son, John (Judy) Lunsford of Jasper, GA; ten grandchildren, Vickie (Ricky) Coe, Michael (Angie) Thompkins, Paul (Brina) Thompkins, Derrick (Becky) Bryan, Nathan Lunsford, Bobby Lunsford, Barry Lunsford, Bobby (Leanna) Smith, Clifford Davis, and Susan (Travis) Barnhart; fourteen great grandchildren, Jennifer (Gene) Schmitt, Brittany Coe, Kirsten Thompkins, Evan Thompkins, Mia Thompkins, Lilly Bryan, Nikki Smith, Josh Smith, Cale Matthews, Daniel Matthews, Bryson Smith, Brianna Davis, Wesley Fowler, and Jarod Barnhart; and three great great grandchildren, Emma Schmitt, Callie Gamble, and Alleah Gamble.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Rosemont Baptist Church with Reverend Max McCord officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and William Bryan, 210 W. Lakeview Drive, and will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
