Mr. Thomas, son of the late Robert Stell and Gussie Moore Heflin, was born July 12, 1930.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Mackey Heflin; two sisters, Virginia Hood and Rita Lyons.
He is survived by three sons, Steve Heflin; Billy (Vickie) Heflin; Danny Heflin; a daughter, Anita Carol (Les) Guillory; 9 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; brother, James G. “Sam” Heflin; 2 sisters, Janice Johnston; Elizabeth Barnes; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 6pm – 8pm at the funeral home. The funeral service will be Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Pastor Michelle Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
