Mr. Ronald Dwyane Davis, Sr.

Mr. Davis was born October 2, 1942 in Heard County, GA, son of the late Freeman Davis and Mattie Jeff Yarbrough Davis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving with the Force Recon division. Mr. Davis was a member of Grace Baptist Church and has served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes, Pineland Campus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, LuJean Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lynn Davis; two sons, Ronald Dwyane (Amy) Davis, Jr. and Charles Edward Davis; two grandchildren, Zachary Charles Davis and Madison Alexandria Davis, and their mother, Melanie Newman Davis; one sister, Gail Davis; four brothers, Rudy Smith, Don Davis, Pat Davis, and Mann Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church with Reverend Donnie Benefield and Reverend Leroy Shephard officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the church.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church Building Fund or Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes, Pineland Campus in memory of Mr. Ronald Dwyane Davis, Sr.
